Psalm 4:6-8 (Message Bible)
Why is everyone hungry for more? "More, more" they say. "More, more". I have God's more-than-enough, More joy in one ordinary day than they get in all their shopping sprees. At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep, for you God, have put my life back together.
Matthew 11:28
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Psalm 127:1
If God doesn't build the house, the builders only build shacks. If God doesn't guard the city, the night watchman might as well nap. It's useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone. Don't you know He enjoys giving rest to those He loves?

What an awesome truth to claim!
I grew up dirt poor and certainly appreciate the simpler things in
life, however, it is so easy in today's world of comfort and ease
and instant gratification, to find yourself wanting more than we
can keep up with, and wanting it right now.
In light of our recent situation, being faced with a huge business
decision, we have realized even more that we are content with what God has given us, and that in Him we are satisfied to the fullest.
We take rest, knowing that He is in control and knows the plans He
has for us. (Jer. 29:11)
I stand amazed at the blessings both of the Spirit and financially, that God has bestowed upon us in the last few years. There have been times when it was tough, even a little scary, but we know that He will never forsake us, knowing just what we need and when we need it.
I love the following verse which has been a HUGE part of my growth.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and BE CONTENT with
what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
(Hebrews 13:5)
If I had to go back to pickle sandwiches today, I can say that I would be satisfied knowing God has rescued me from a life much
worse than that. And above all, He stands with me each moment.
